Role Description
The Counsellor role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Amritapuri, Kollam campus who will provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, personal, and career-related concerns, and will support their overall well-being and adjustment to university life.
Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, maintaining confidential records, organizing workshops or orientation programs,



and collaborating with faculty and administrative staff to address student support needs.
The role also involves identifying students at risk, referring them to appropriate resources, and contributing to initiatives that promote mental health awareness and a supportive campus environment.
Education Qualifications
Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, or MPhil Clinical Psychology mandatory; relevant certifications or licensure are an advantage.
Prior experience in an educational or university setting is preferred, especially in student services or counseling roles.
Skills Required
Solid counseling and multicultural skills, including experience with student counseling, mental health support, and crisis intervention.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse student populations.
