We are looking for a Network Engineer – L1 to provide first-level network support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. The candidate should have hands-on experience in routing and switching technologies and possess a strong understanding of network protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L1 support for enterprise network infrastructure.
Monitor network devices, links, and connectivity using monitoring tools.
Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and performance issues.
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Routers and Switches.
Hands-on experience with Routing & Switching.
Working knowledge of OSPF, BGP and VTP.
Troubleshoot VLAN, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, and inter-VLAN routing issues.
Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of IP addressing and subnetting.
Handle incidents,
service requests, and network-related tickets within defined SLAs.
Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams when required.
Maintain network documentation and troubleshooting records.
Perform basic network device health checks and preventive monitoring.
Mandatory Skills
CCNA or CCNP certification – Mandatory.
Hands-on experience in Routing & Switching.
Practical experience with OSPF.
Basic to working-level knowledge of BGP.
Hands-on/working knowledge of VTP, VLAN, STP and Trunking.
Good understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting and networking fundamentals.
Experience with Cisco networking devices.
Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred
Experience with enterprise network environments.
ITIL/ticketing tool exposure.
Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
