Machine Shop (CNC) Engineer - Technical leader, responsible for the safe, effective, and high-quality production on their assigned shift. Serve as the primary point of contact for their team and is the bridge between the shop floor and management. Should have hands-on technical expertise, solid leadership, and effective communication skills to ensure that production goals are met while maintaining a safe and productive work environment
Key Responsibilities
Ensure achievement of daily, Weekly and monthly production targets.
Maintain on time delivery of components as per plan.
Maintain daily shift efficiency as per the TQM objectives.
Ensure products are manufactured as per quality standards.
Reduce rejection rates and implement corrective/preventive action (CAPA).
Reduce the rework hours.
Inspections and Quality Checks.
Troubleshooting and Defect Analysis
Adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Communication and Reporting of NCs
Improve overall components Effectiveness and productivity.
Optimize machine utilization and cycle times.
Control operational costs by reducing tool consumption, rework and Idle time.
Achieve targets for cost per component/machine hrs.
Coordination with Production and Cross-Functional teams.
Waste Reduction.
Maximizing Uptime and Minimizing Downtime.
Emergency Response and Risk Mitigation.
Plan and allocate manpower effectively across shifts and machines.
Develop and motivate the shop floor team for performance and skill enhancement.
Minimize machine downtime through coordination with the maintenance team.
Support preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules.
