Job Title: Assistant Professor - Cardiologist Department /Function Cardiology Job Specifications ( Education & Experience / Other Prerequisites ) Education: Medical ● A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule ( other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). ● Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super-speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctor of Medicine or Master of Surgery or Diplomate National Board or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto ● Super Specialities (DM/M.Ch./DrNB) : On Completion of DM/MCh/ DrNB in the concerned subject Clinical Responsibilities: ○ Examine, diagnose within the scope of training, experience, and privileges. ○ He/she shall (wherever applicable) :



■ be responsible for proper maintenance of the case and filing system in the department. ■ supervise the hospital work being carried out by the residents and other junior faculty members in the department. ○ The evolution of Cardiology as a contemporary specialty. ○ specialise in diagnosing, treating, and preventing heart and/or cardiovascular conditions through non-invasive procedures or, when necessary, surgical intervention, in order to provide the best care to the patients; Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns through diagnosing and conducting treatment of diseases in the cardiovascular system which includes heart and blood vessels / blood circulation ○ treat chest pain, high blood pressure and heart failure, as well as problems with your heart valves, blood vessels and other heart and vascular issues ○ Examining blood circulation system to find cause
