This role is responsible for the design, implementation, support, and optimisation of a large-scale Linux estate supporting critical business applications. You will work across approximately 4000 Linux systems , driving automation, standardisation, security, and reliability , while contributing to platform strategy and continuous improvement. The role requires deep technical expertise, solid troubleshooting capability,
and effective cross-team collaboration . What you will do Key Responsibilities for this role are:- 1. Platform Engineering & Ownership Act as the technical authority for Linux platforms (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) Design and deliver secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure solutions Contribute to and execute the Linux platform roadmap 2. Automation & Efficiency Drive automation-first operations using Ansible and scripting Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration standards Deliver scalable efficiency improvements across the estate 3.
