Role Description The Bakery & Pastry Commis 3 is a full time, on-site role based at Paashh in Pune. This team member supports the pastry and bakery section by preparing mise en place, following standard recipes, and assisting in the production of breads, pastries, cakes, and baked desserts aligned with Paashh’s organic and sustainable ethos. Daily tasks include measuring and mixing ingredients, shaping and baking products, handling garnishing and plating,
maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring proper storage and labelling of items. The role also involves coordinating with senior chefs, assisting with inventory checks, minimizing wastage, and supporting smooth service during café operating hours. The Commis 3 is expected to follow food safety guidelines, uphold presentation standards, and contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment.
Qualifications
Foundational bakery and pastry skills, including basic dough preparation, cake mixing, and dessert assembly.
Knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and safe handling of equipment and ingredients.
Ability to follow recipes accurately, maintain consistency, and manage time in a fast-paced kitchen.
Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn from senior kitchen staff.
Prior experience in a bakery, patisserie, café, or hotel kitchen is preferred; internship or vocational
