Main Duties
- Manage the daily operation of all project workshops supporting track maintenance, structures maintenance, and equipment maintenance activities.
- Ensure all maintenance vehicles, heavy equipment, rail maintenance machines, tools, and workshop equipment are maintained in protected and serviceable condition.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes for all workshop assets in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and project requirements.
- Coordinate repair, servicing, inspection, calibration, and overhaul activities to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
- Ensure workshop facilities, lifting equipment, machinery, and specialized tools comply with contractual requirements, applicable standards, and safety regulations.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
- Plan and control workshop manpower, materials, spare parts, consumables, and specialized tools required for maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with District Managers and maintenance teams to ensure timely availability of equipment and plant required for field operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, service reports, inspection records, and asset documentation.
- Ensure proper inventory control of spare parts, workshop consumables, and critical maintenance materials.
- Implement quality control procedures for workshop repairs and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements within all workshop facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections of workshop facilities and ensure housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Coordinate statutory inspections, testing, and certification of workshop equipment and lifting appliances where applicable.
