- Administer, maintain, and enhance database systems supporting SaaS applications. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of database environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues across multiple platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, deadlocks, and query execution issues. Diagnose issues related to replication, data corruption, and storage optimization.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to uncover root causes.
- Develop and execute comprehensive backup and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate database solutions with applications.
- Monitor database performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Manage database access, roles and security policies.
- Stay up to date with the latest cloud-managed database technologies and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills Needed to be Successful
- bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



or a related field and at least 5 years of applicable skilled experience
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or Engineer, with a focus on Oracle databases, schema design, and product development
- Experience with monitoring with Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Experience with DataGuard and Oracle DR/BC configuration
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with healthcare and/or laboratory software is highly desired
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards
- Experience with cloud database platforms; Azure managed database experience is highly desired
- Experience in implementing high-availability solutions such as clustering, mirroring, and replication
