We are seeking a highly competent, skilled, and motivated Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team, focusing on the Africa, India, and Middle East regions of the organization. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in legal practice/with corporates, with a solid background in management of contracts, ethics and compliance, and legal dispute resolution. This role requires expertise in managing corporate legal matters, providing strategic legal advice to senior management, and ensuring the companys operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations and policies. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with other team members to effectively manage responsibilities and ensure seamless legal support across various businesses and projects in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Drafting, Vetting, and Negotiation:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of purchase, commercial and other contracts.
- Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws and company policies.
- Provide legal advice on contractual matters to internal stakeholders.

Ethics and Compliance Programs Management:
- Develop, implement, and manage ethics and compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal, regulatory and Groups requirements.
- Handle ethics, POSH and other cases as per applicable law and Company policies.
- Regularly monitor/track compliance activities, conduct detailed compliance audits, and perform comprehensive risk assessments.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters/issues.

3. Legal Dispute Management:
- Handle legal disputes, including drafting/vetting legal notices/replies, managing court cases, arbitrations, etc. pan India and AFMO.
- Coordinate with external counsels to manage litigation and other legal proceedings.
- Advise on strategies to mitigate legal risks.
