Role Overview
To lead and grow government business across the region, managing a team of Account Managers handling Ministries and PSUs. This role owns regional revenue, strategic planning, client relationships at a senior level, and team performance, while driving innovative media-led solutions beyond regular ad sales.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
• Own regional government sales revenue across Ministries, and government bodies.
• Set monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for the region and ensure achievement through effective planning and execution.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key government stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Review pipelines, forecasts, and performance of the Account Managers on a regular basis.
Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and performance-manage a team of Government Sales Account Managers.
• Provide strategic direction, sales guidance, and on-ground support during critical client engagements.
• Ensure strong sales hygiene, reporting discipline,



and capability building within the team.
Business Development
• Drive recent opportunities and incremental revenue through special features, supplements, and integrated media solutions for government clients.
• Identify regional growth opportunities, new departments, and untapped government accounts.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Programming, Marketing, Creative, Operations) to deliver customized solutions.
Ensuring time bound payment of campaign
Innovation & Brand Solutions
• Conceptualize and execute innovative campaigns, seminars, and special projects to enhance brand visibility for government clients.
• Move beyond regular ad-sales to impact-driven, awareness-led media initiatives aligned with government objectives.
• Act as a thought partner to clients on effective use of media for public communication.
