Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Human Services
Location: India (Remote)
Availability requirement: Minimum 20-30 hours per week
Required Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's in Social Work, Human Services, Family Studies, Sociology, Community Development, Psychology, or related discipline.
Required Skills
Knowledge of family studies, social services, and community resources.
Understanding of counseling principles and interpersonal communication.
Familiarity with ethics, cultural competency, and community engagement.
Ability to review instructional materials for relevance and accuracy.
Robust subject matter expertise in the assigned career cluster.
Experience with curriculum development, instructional design, or educational publishing.
Knowledge of state standards, curriculum correlation, and standards mapping.
Ability to review instructional materials for technical accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
Strong analytical, editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office,



Google Workspace, and online collaboration tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and meet project deadlines.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality educational content.
Key Responsibilities
Review Family and Community Services curriculum.
Recommend revisions to improve content quality.
Conduct curriculum correlation review against state and national standards.
Perform state standards mapping and alignment verification.
Review SBs for technical accuracy, pedagogy, and grade-level appropriateness.
Review multimedia assets, including images, videos, animations, and interactives, for subject accuracy and instructional effectiveness.
Identify content gaps, inconsistencies, and required revisions.
Verify assessments, activities, and learning objectives for alignment and rigor.
Collaborate with instructional designers, content developers, editors, and media teams.
