YNOS Venture Engine is India’s data intelligence platform for the early-stage startup ecosystem. Founded by IIT Madras faculty and incubated at IIT Madras, we sit at the intersection of data, technology, and India’s startup economy. Our long-term vision is to become India’s supermarket for startups — the central platform through which any actor in the ecosystem can discover, engage with, and transact with the startup world, and are currently building the commercial engine that takes us there.

The Chance

As a Startup Ecosystem - Business Consultant, you will:

Be responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue targets
Own a defined territory and segment of the institutional market
Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects annually, working with the SDR to prioritise high-intent institutions using a structured scoring framework.
Run the full sales cycle independently: discovery, solution mapping, proposal design,



negotiation, and close.
Have a “customer first” approach and ensure that internal collaboration is achieved to have satisfied clients.
Drive revenue with discipline by meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets, log every call, meeting, and follow-up on CRM. Ensure adherence in achieving the sales plan and participate in review with the reporting manager.
Represent YNOS in the Field: Attend and support institutional programs and external events that deepen relationships and create upsell opportunities. Relay market feedback to the BD Head and leadership in real time.

What We Are Looking For

3–10 years of B2B sales experience, with a track record of independently owning and closing deals.
Prior experience selling software, digital platforms, or data services is strongly preferred.
Experience selling to or working with educational institutions, incubators, or the startup ecosystem is a sign
