Role Summary

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) – HEV Business will lead the growth and profitability of SUN Mobility’s battery swapping business across India. The role is responsible for driving EBITDA, expanding the battery swapping network by acquiring recent customers (Customer Acquisition), scaling franchise-led operations and after-market services, accelerating commercial adoption, managing customer experience, and shaping the policy ecosystem to support widespread adoption of battery swapping technology in the bus and truck segments.

The COO will work closely with OEMs, fleet operators, government agencies, utilities, franchise partners, and industry bodies to establish SUN Mobility as the preferred battery-swapping platform for Heavy Electric commercial mobility in Buses and truck segments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth, Sales & Franchise Development
Own the P&L;, EBITDA, revenue, utilization, and growth targets for the BaaS business.
Develop and execute the annual operating plan (AOP) to achieve business and financial objectives.
Build, onboard,



and scale a nationwide franchisee network for sales, station operations, and maintenance.
Drive customer acquisition and utilization by partnering with fleet operators, logistics companies, aggregators, school transport operators, staff transportation providers, and other commercial vehicle fleets.
Managing relationships with Vehicle OEMs and collaborating with them
Establish scalable commercial models to maximize station profitability and network adoption.
Participate in STU tenders, modelling, submission, documentation, and O&M; post-agreement is signed
2. Infrastructure Deployment & Energy Management
Lead deployment and operations of battery-swapping stations across highways, cities, industrial clusters, ports, freight corridors, and tourism routes.
Establish strategic partnerships with DISCOMs, power suppliers, project management consultants (PMCs), infrastructure partners, and landowners.
