We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to provide QA cover for all repair activities in the MRO. This role involves physical, hands-on verification of parts and assemblies. The Engineer physically executes the checks on the shop floor to ensure the procedures, testing protocols and documentation is complete and updated suitably.
Key Responsibilities:
In-Process Inspection: To perform routine checks directly on the assembly line or as part of Source Inspection.
Defect Documentation: To write detailed non-conformance reports when items fails/ shows non-conformity.
Records Traceability: Verify and Material Test Reports ensuring that the quality standards achieved are in conformance with specification.
Certificate of Conformance (CoC): Validate, review, and confirm that the final assembly meets the specification for issue of CoCs.
Management of documentation and support QMS audits and certification activities.
Requirements:
Education:
Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Experience: 15 Years in QA/ Inspection or Missile Systems Testing/maintenance in Indian Armed Forces or in Defence Sector PSUs/ private firms/OEMs.
Skills: -
Strong understanding of missile systems and defect analysis and testing protocols
Conversant with inspection and quality assurance procedures
Other Requirements:
Effective communication to liaise with production and testing agencies.
Ability to work in a high-paced, defence-sector workplace with strict compliance protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in system integration and testing on specialised testers and (or) on EODs.
Background in Indian Armed Forces with exposure to missile systems.
Experience working with IAI teams or similar defense contractors / firms.
