CMA – Job Description
Position: Cost & Management Accountant (CMA)
Department: Finance & Accounts / Costing
Industry: Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyse product-wise, machine-wise and process-wise costing.
Calculate raw material,



labour, power, overhead and production costs.
Prepare cost sheets and cost variance reports.
Analyse actual cost versus standard/budgeted cost and identify deviations.
Monitor material consumption, wastage, production efficiency and yield.
Assist management in pricing decisions and profitability analysis.
Prepare MIS reports for management, including product/customer profitability.
Analyse factory overheads and cost allocation.
Support budgeting, forecasting and cost-control initiatives.
Identify areas for cost reduction and improvement in operational efficiency.
Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Sales and Accounts for accurate costing data.
Assist in inventory valuation and reconciliation.
Provide financial analysis for new products, machines, projects and investments.
Ensure compliance with applicable cost accounting and statutory requirements.
