Job Description

Associate– Project Planning is responsible for leading, developing, and continuously improving the Project Planning team across the PMCM India offices. The role ensures that planners are effectively utilised, aligned with project priorities, and consistently delivering high‑quality, timely, and accurate project schedules and planning outputs. This position oversees end‑to‑end project planning processes, ensures adherence to planning standards, governance, and industry best practices, and drives operational excellence through proactive workload planning, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Establish, refine, and govern project planning processes across all PMCM India teams, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Coach, mentor, and develop Principal Planners, Senior Planners and Planners, raising capability levels and promoting consistency across teams.
Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, including automation, template improvements,



and better utilisation of planning tool -Primavera P6.
Plan resources, manage utilisation, and allocate workloads effectively across planning teams to ensure operational continuity and balanced capacity.
Track planning team performance, schedule quality, progress updates, and KPIs, and communicate status updates and risks to Project Managers and UK Planning leads.
Monitor and audit adherence to planning governance standards, proactively addressing gaps through coaching, corrective actions, and updated workflows.
Support project delivery planning by collaborating with Project Managers, Engineering teams, and UK Planning leads to ensure required schedule information is issued on time and meets quality expectations.
Oversee baseline development, schedule updates, look‑ahead schedules, progress measurement, variance analysis, and forecasting.
Ensure rigorous quality checks on all schedules, validating compliance with procedures, WBS structure
