At D2, you will work closely with experienced teams across Product Development, Design, Merchandising and Production, gaining exposure to international quality standards and the craftsmanship behind globally recognised products.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a technically strong Leather Technologist with hands-on experience in leather selection, evaluation and application for handbags and leather accessories. The role will be responsible for ensuring the right leather quality, finish, appearance and performance across products, while working closely with Product Development, Design, Quality and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage bulk and sample leather sourcing from Indian and overseas suppliers.
Coordinate with Development, Production, Merchandising, QC and related teams to resolve leather-related queries and requirements.




Communicate with overseas customers and provide technical solutions for leather-related requirements.
Guide the leather sourcing team, monitor progress and resolve day-to-day issues.
Define leather selection and testing parameters with suppliers in line with SATRA standards.
Conduct physical testing at tanneries and inspect leather for quality, selection and customer requirements.
Ensure testing is completed and maintain accurate records in line with SOPs and customer specifications.
Prepare and present weekly reports on delivery schedules, supplier performance and sourcing status to management.

What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's/Diploma in Leather Technology or a related field.
10 years of relevant experience in leather goods, handbags, leather accessories or a similar manufacturing workplace.
Strong practical knowledge of different leather types, finishes, defects and applications.
