Role Description This is a full-time role for a Tunnel Ventilation Design Engineer based in Vijayawada.

Job Duties: - The engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing tunnel ventilation systems, including airflow, smoke control, and environmental conditions under normal and emergency scenarios. Day-to-day tasks include preparing design calculations, developing ventilation layouts, specifying equipment, and creating technical drawings and models in coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves reviewing project requirements, contributing to feasibility studies, supporting tender and detailed design documents, and ensuring compliance with relevant national and international standards. The engineer will collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams, participate in design reviews, and provide technical support during construction and commissioning as needed.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design for tunnel ventilation and related infrastructure systems.




Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline, with applied knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for producing drawings, layouts, and 3D models for ventilation systems.
Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to fans, power supply, control systems, and tunnel safety equipment.
Experience with or exposure to tunnel or underground works, HVAC/ventilation design, and industry standards for safety and performance.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and construction drawings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and capability to document design assumptions and calculations clearly.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work on-site in Vijayawada on project-driven timelines.
