Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, operate, and scale multi-region CockroachDB clusters in production environments
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and data consistency for globally distributed clusters
Monitor cluster health, latency, replication status, and resource utilization using observability tools
Perform capacity planning and proactive scaling for future growth
Design and implement disaster recovery strategies including backup/restore and failover/fallback
Skills Required:
6-12 years of relevant experience as a DBA / database administrator
CockroachDB administration for multi-region production clusters
SQL proficiency for database operations and schema management
Database clustering concepts for distributed systems (replication, range/lease behavior)
Backup and restore, disaster recovery, and point-in-time recovery processes
Positive to Have:
Automation and scripting for provisioning, scaling, and operational workflows
Experience with on-call rotations and incident response for production databases
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
