We are currently looking for a PI Underwriter to be based in Birmingham or Manchester on a full-time basis, reporting into the Head of Financial Lines Underwriting. Please apply for this position only if you are available/interested in working from the Birmingham location.
You will achieve and maintain a profitable, well-balanced,
and growing portfolio with allocated intermediaries and customers to assist in meeting long-term trading objectives of the Company. You will provide technical underwriting expertise and guidance to less experienced underwriting staff.
Responsibilities
Proactively develop and convert new and existing business opportunities through regular in-market engagement with allocated intermediaries and customers, managing cases end-to-end to deliver business plans and drive profitable growth aligned with the Company’s trading strategy;
Identify, define, and close business opportunities, seeking input from other staff where appropriate to ensure swift and effective handling of business proposals, securing business for the Company;
Influence broker behaviour and placement strategies by providing clear appetite, pricing insight, and feedback, positioning the Company as a preferred trading partner;
