Role Description A Solar PV Design Engineer is responsible for designing and optimizing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, which includes creating detailed layouts and schematics, performing energy and shading analysis, and ensuring designs comply with electrical and safety standards.



Key duties involve preparing Bill of Materials (BOM), single-line diagrams (SLDs), and structural drawings, as well as collaborating with procurement, project management, and installation teams throughout the project life cycle.

Key responsibilities
Design and develop detailed electrical and structural plans for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
Conduct virtual site surveys to assess solar resources, perform shadow analysis, and determine the optimal system design for the location.
Prepare and finalize essential documents such as single-line diagrams (SLDs), Panel Layout, string configurations, AC/DC cable sizing, earthing calculations, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Use software like PVsyst, Helioscope or relevant tool experience to perform energy yield simulations and estimate system production.
