Hamlet Swim & Tennis Club is seeking a Recreational Facilities Manager to oversee the daily and long-term operations of the Hamlet Swim & Tennis Club facilities. Manages daily operations and projects, ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained, and manages maintenance and repair needs. Ensures that the Club facilities meet the needs of its members.
Responsibilities
Property Inspections – Perform routine inspection of buildings and grounds; ensure safety and cleanliness of facility.
Contractor Scheduling and Coordination – Schedule appointments to meet with contractors for building and grounds maintenance. Supervise work when necessary.
Project Tracking and Communication – Maintain status of ongoing projects and communicate regularly with Board liaison. Identify costs related to projects and submit to the Board for approval.
Seasonal Winterization Activities – Provide seasonal maintenance required to winterize facilities during off-season (typically November through March). Coordinate with contractors as needed.
Note: Pool operations and maintenance are performed by a contracted pool management company. Facilities Manager will not be responsible for any maintenance related directly to the pool.
Experience & Qualifications
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Ability to oversee, track and report on multiple projects at once.
Strong problem-solving skills; ability to find creative solutions to unexpected problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to accurately track and report hours worked by project.
Explicit criminal background check mandatory.
Position Type: Part-time; estimated 750 hours annually with seasonal variability:
In-season (Late March through Early September) – 50%
Post-Season & Winterization (Late September through Early December) – 35%
Off-Season (January through March) – 15%
