Sunstripe is seeking an Engineering Manager – Data Center Electrical Design to lead electrical engineering for large-scale AI and hyperscale data center projects across the United States.
This role combines engineering leadership, team management, technical governance, and project delivery across mission-critical power infrastructure, large-load interconnections, substations, BESS, and data center electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage electrical engineering teams supporting U.S. AI/hyperscale data center projects.
Own technical quality and delivery of Basis of Design, SLDs, calculations, specifications, design packages, and engineering studies.
Lead engineering of HV/MV/LV systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, BESS, ATS/STS, PDUs, and busways.
Support large-load utility interconnections and Point of Interconnection (POI) requirements.
Review load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonics, grounding, and related power system studies.
Drive electrical architecture decisions around reliability, redundancy,



scalability, resiliency, and maintainability.
Support BESS and grid-interactive solutions for system stability, voltage/frequency ride-through, active power recovery, and ramp mitigation.
Lead design reviews, technical governance, QA/QC, and engineering risk management.
Coordinate with U.S. clients, utilities, developers, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and commissioning teams.
Mentor engineers, allocate engineering resources, and build technical capability within the team.
Support FAT/SAT, energization, commissioning, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems.
10+ years of relevant experience, including technical leadership or engineering management.
Robust experience with hyperscale/colocation data centers, mission-critical facilities, utility infrastructure, BESS, or large-load projects.
