Role Description The Lab Assistant – Psychology Lab is a full-time, on-site role based at Amity University Hyderabad. The role involves supporting day-to-day operations of the psychology laboratory, including preparing materials for experiments, setting up and maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting faculty and students with research activities. The Lab Assistant will help manage participant scheduling, ensure data is collected and stored accurately, and uphold strict quality control and safety standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining inventory of lab supplies, keeping the lab setting organized, and supporting demonstrations and practical sessions for psychology courses. The role requires regular collaboration with faculty, researchers, and students to facilitate smooth lab functioning and compliance with institutional guidelines.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including handling laboratory equipment and following standard lab procedures.




Candidates should possess quality control and analytical skills to support accurate data collection, monitoring, and reporting.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with faculty, students, and research participants.
Relevant academic background in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Understanding of basic research methods, ethics in human participant research, and data entry or documentation practices.
Ability to follow established protocols, pay attention to detail, and maintain confidentiality of research data.
Prior experience in an academic or research laboratory environment is an advantage.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and willingness to learn specialized software used in psychological research.
