About Lady Andal House of Children:

Lady Andal Open School is an established special school in Chennai, founded by The Madras Seva Sadan, a renowned institution with a long-standing and respected legacy in education. Centrally located on a scenic campus, LAOS is dedicated to providing special education and vocational training for children and adults with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and Down Syndrome

The school offers pre-vocational and vocational training programmes, including the NIOS curriculum, and is supported by a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals providing physiotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. We are building a dynamic team of special educators and educators to work with learners with multiple disabilities and to guide participants in the NIOS programme. LAOS aims to support parents in the schooling journey of their special child by collecting a highly subsidised fee. We are looking for a skil led Speech and Language Therap ist who is passionate about supporting diverse learners and fostering inclusive education. A commitment to collaboration, empathy, and continuous professional growth is essent

Assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities using standardised tests and informal evaluations.

Develop and implement Individualised Therapy Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specific needs and goals.

Provide one-on-one and group speech therapy sessions to improve articulation, fluency, language comprehension, and expressive communication.

Work closely with special education teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists and parents to support integrated student development.

Monitor and document students’ progress and adapt therapy plans as needed.

Participate in IEP meetings, case conferences, and qualified
