Principal Software DevOps Engineer in the Enabling Technologies R&D; Software Organization developing software supporting Client Navigation and Imaging systems. The individual will operate in all phases and contribute to all activities of the software development process. Candidates must be willing to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment.
A Day in the Life
- Actively participate in deploying application artifacts to appropriate target environments using the supported technologies and infrastructure
- Participate in planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects
- Perform maintenance tasks as infrastructure health checks and monitoring
- Identify bottlenecks in development and deployment processes and design automation solutions to mitigate
- Maintain and grow knowledge of platform configuration management, monitoring,
and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with the rest of DevOps team to deliver consistent and holistic solutions to the organization
- Work under general direction and collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Continuously keep updated with latest technology trends and channel that learning to Client Product development
Must Have
Job Respobsibilities
- Work closely with Tech Leads and developers of various teams to develop automation pipelines and CI/CD
- Manage and optimize the infrastructure and operations to support the security and reliability of APIs
- Configure the infrastructure using IaaS/PaaS products and own developed tools
- Develop self-serve tools and artefacts (e.g., containerized dev environment) to development teams to support SDLC
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Proficiency working in a team setting
