Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and agile Manager – Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) for a Hydro Power Project. The candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all EHS functions associated with hydro power construction activities including tunnel works, dam construction, underground excavation, blasting operations, batching plants, crusher plants, river diversion works, and heavy construction equipment operations.
The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, client safety requirements, environmental standards, and company policies while promoting a strong safety culture across the project.
The candidate must possess strong leadership capability, technical expertise in construction safety management, environmental compliance knowledge, and experience in handling large infrastructure or hydro power projects.
Key Responsibilities
Environment, Health & Safety Leadership
- Lead and manage overall EHS operations for the Hydro Power Project.
- Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific EHS plans, procedures, and policies.




- Ensure compliance with all statutory safety and environmental regulations.
- Establish a proactive safety culture throughout the project site.

Construction Safety Management
- Monitor and control high-risk construction activities including:
- Tunnel construction works
- Underground excavation
- Drill & blast operations
- Working at height
- Deep excavation works
- Heavy lifting and crane operations
- Electrical and mechanical works
- Confined space entry
- Ensure implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for critical activities.
- Conduct risk assessments, HIRA, JSA, and safety reviews for construction activities.
- Review and approve Method Statements and Safety Procedures.

Environmental Management
- Ensure implementation of environmental management plans and pollution control measures.
