Bring your energy to Aggreko as Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of all systems and subsystems of complex power generator packages.
Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.
What you’ll do:
- Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical systems and subsystems for power generator sets (Diesel/Gas Gensets), including performing related mechanical design calculations for structural components, skids, cooling, exhaust, fuel, and air intake systems.
- Technical Documentation and Drawing Preparation: Prepare and review essential technical documentation such as General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication and manufacturing drawings, piping layouts, isometrics, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical specifications.
- Mechanical Analysis and Validation: Conduct or coordinate various engineering analyses including stress, vibration, thermal,
noise and acoustic assessments, and advanced studies like FEA and CFD where necessary.
- Compliance and Standards Adherence: Ensure all designs comply with applicable international standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, IEC, NFPA) as well as customer-specific and regional regulations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration and Support: Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve design and production issues, and provide technical support to sales, service, procurement, and project execution teams.
- Product Lifecycle Support and Improvement: Support prototype builds, participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), and assist with site commissioning activities, while also contributing to design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You are:
- Educational Qualification: An Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Extensive Experience in Generator Package Design: 7-9 y
