Role Name: Senior Editor
Role Overview
The Editor will transform extensive, unstructured primary research transcripts into clean, accurate, and
compliant deliverables. The role combines technical editing, content normalization, and rigorous data
privacy practices, with emphasis on locating, verifying, and redacting sensitive information through
cross-referencing within and across transcripts.
Core Responsibilities
Edit long-form transcripts for clarity, grammar, structure, and fidelity to source while preserving
speaker intent.
Identify, verify, and redact PII and other sensitive data using cross-document entity checks.
Build and maintain entity reference maps to resolve identities across transcripts and sessions.
Conduct fact checks on names, titles, companies, and dates; annotate uncertainties and
escalate discrepancies.
Apply consistent redaction rules and reason codes; maintain redaction changelogs and version
histories.
Perform quality control passes, including second-reader reviews and random sample audits.
Collaborate with Compliance,
and Research teams to align on requirements and exceptions.
Meet SLAs for turnaround time, accuracy, and completeness; proactively flag risks or blockers.
PII Redaction Expertise
Detect and validate sensitive fields including but not limited to, names, emails, phone numbers,
postal addresses, employer identifiers, IPs, and location breadcrumbs.
Cross-reference indicators across transcripts using entity resolution techniques, context
windows, and fuzzy matches.
Differentiate public role-based information from personal data; apply minimum-necessary
disclosure principles.
Apply jurisdiction-specific rules (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, GLBA, HIPAA-adjacent contexts) and
document rule application decisions.
Maintain redaction integrity with irreversible methods, consistent placeholders, and audit trails
linking rationale and evidence.
