Job Summary:
We are looking for a results-driven and technically sound General Manager – Projects (Solar Energy) to lead our solar project operations. As the Head of Projects, the GM will be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of solar projects—from planning and design to execution and commissioning—while ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability. The role demands strategic leadership, a strong engineering background, and proven P&L; management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end execution of solar energy projects (rooftop, C&I;, and utility-scale), ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and compliance at every project phase.
- Oversee procurement, vendor management, and site construction activities.
Technical Oversight
- Review and approve system designs, layouts,
and technical specifications.
- Resolve critical design and engineering challenges across multiple project sites.
- Guide technical teams in the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and process improvements.
P&L; Management
- Take full accountability for the P&L; of the Projects division, driving revenue growth, cost control, and margin enhancement.
- Monitor financial performance, optimize project economics, and report KPIs to top management.
- Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to ensure optimal bid strategies and contract execution.
Team Management
- Build, lead, and mentor multidisciplinary project teams including engineers, project managers, and site personnel.
- Foster a culture of performance, ownership, and continuous learning.
- Set and review project goals, performance metrics, and training initiatives.
