Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Data L1 Engineer to join our team for the EOSL project. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of networking concepts, particularly in switching and routing. This entry-level position is perfect for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in network engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices including switches and routers.
- Support the implementation of network solutions in accordance with project requirements.
- Participate in network performance monitoring and reporting.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve network issues and improve system performance.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
Mandatory Skills
Routing, Switching, BGP, OSPF, Nexus, Catalyst switches.
- Basic understanding of switching and routing concepts.
- Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with network monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of network security principles.
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant internships or coursework in networking is a plus.
- Certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are advantageous but not required.
