Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow reports.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of accounting experience (or as required by the organization).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Zoho Books).
- Knowledge of applicable tax laws and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent (preferred, depending on the role).
- Experience in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and GST/VAT regulations (where applicable).
