Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Sourcing:
- Identify and source raw materials, mechanical components, tools, and other supplies required for fabrication and machine manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct market research to identify potential recent suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
2. Cost Optimization & Negotiation:
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions with suppliers.
- Optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
- Prepare cost analysis and budgeting for purchasing activities.
3. Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain an approved supplier list and manage supplier contracts.
4. Inventory & Material Planning:
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Work closely with stores and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or overstocking.
5. Coordination with Internal Teams:
- Collaborate with design and production teams to understand technical specifications and material requirements.
- Work with quality control teams to ensure purchased materials meet required standards.
- Address supply chain disruptions by working with alternative suppliers or adjusting procurement strategies.
6. Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and supplier evaluations.
