The GSOC Specialist is responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, managing communication during emergencies, and ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and quick decision-making are critical.
Responsibilities:
- Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Conduct regular monitoring of world events through open-source intelligence, social media platforms, and client-specific intelligence gathering tools to identify potential threats to employees, company assets, and reputation.
- Monitor badge usage for irregularities or potential security breaches.
- Register and monitor visitors to ensure authorization and escorting as required
- Escalate incidents related to employee welfare, global incidents, operational issues, and critical situations to security management.
- Maintain detailed logs of incidents and actions taken.
- Operate and monitor security systems including CCTV cameras, alarms, and related equipment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
- Develop training programs for new operators to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on badging, consumables, shipment activities, security system performance, access control activities, and project progress.
- Provide support during crisis situations by disseminating information and coordinating responses.
- Conduct regular system checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
