The GeoSpatial Engineer MAP will design implement and optimize geospatial data solutions that support mapping products and analytics for an international organization. The role involves building Python based geospatial pipelines integrating spatial datasets and enabling accurate visual insights for business users while working in a hybrid day shift model.
Responsibilities:
Develop high quality Python based geospatial workflows that process transform and validate spatial datasets for enterprise mapping solutions
Design robust geospatial data models that improve spatial analysis accuracy and enable consistent mapping outputs across business units
Implement automated data ingestion routines that collect spatial data from multiple internal and external sources and standardize them for downstream use
Optimize spatial query performance in geospatial databases so that analytical dashboards and maps respond efficiently for global users
Build reusable Python modules that encapsulate core geospatial functions to reduce duplication and improve maintainability of mapping services
Collaborate with product and domain teams to translate location based business needs into explicit geospatial engineering tasks and technical solutions
Create detailed geoprocessing workflows that support routing analysis site selection and territory planning for various business scenarios
Implement rigorous data quality checks that detect spatial inconsistencies missing attributes and topology errors to maintain trust in mapping outputs
Develop monitoring scripts that track performance of geospatial services and automate alerts when processing time or data freshness thresholds are breached
Document geospatial architectures workflows and coding standards thoroughly so that teams can easily understand maintain and extend existing solutions
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure that geospatial data handling aligns with regulatory expectations and company policies
