Key Responsibilities
- Perform die assembly, dismantling, fitting and maintenance activities.
- Carry out die setting, spotting, trial and correction work.
- Identify and rectify die-related problems during trials and production.
- Handle and maintain punches, dies, inserts, slides, lifters, guide pillars, bushes and other die components.
- Perform bench fitting, filing, grinding, drilling and tapping operations.
- Check die components using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Read and understand 2D drawings and tooling drawings.
- Support preventive and breakdown maintenance of dies.
- Coordinate with Production, Tool Design and Quality teams for die-related issues.
- Support die modification and improvement activities.
- Maintain proper records of die maintenance, trials and corrections.
- Follow 5S, safety and quality standards in the Tool Room.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience in Die Fitting / Tool Room / Press Tool / Stamping Die.
- Knowledge of die components and their functions.
- Good knowledge of fitting and measurement techniques.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot die problems.
- Knowledge of press tool and stamping die maintenance.
- Ability to read engineering/tooling drawings.
- Basic knowledge of tolerances and GD&T; will be an advantage.
- Positive teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
