Educational Qualification Mandatory
- PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related disciplines.
Preferred
- Postdoctoral or industrial R&D; experience in lithium-ion batteries.
- Experience with commercial lithium-ion cells and battery chemistries (NMC, LCO, LFP, NCA, etc.).
- Experience with battery companies or advanced electrochemical laboratories.
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of research or industrial experience in electrochemistry and lithium-ion batteries.
- Hands-on experience with lithium-ion cell characterization & electrochemical systems.
- Proven experience in designing & conducting experiments.
- Experience with metal recovery and battery material processing is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrolysis Process Development
- Design and execute electrolysis experiments for transition metal recovery.
- Develop and optimize electrochemical separation processes.
- Investigate electrode materials, electrolyte systems, and operating conditions.
- Study current efficiency, cell voltage, and energy consumption.
- Optimize electrolysis parameters for selective metal recovery.
2. Experimental Design and Execution
- Independently conceptualize and structure research programs.
- Develop experimental plans and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Execute laboratory-scale experiments and optimize process variables.
- Maintain detailed experimental records and technical documentation.:
- Analyze data and establish reproducible methodologies.
4. Research and Innovation
- Generate recent concepts and process improvements.
- Conduct literature reviews and technology benchmarking.
- Collaborate on scale-up and pilot plant development.
