1. Incoming Quality Inspection (IQC)
- Perform incoming inspection of Sheet Metal, Fabrication Child Parts, and Assembly Parts as per drawing/specification/control plan.
- Verify material dimensions, welding quality, surface finish, and functional parameters.
- Ensure compliance with customer and internal quality standards.
2. Drawing & Specification Review
- Study and understand engineering drawings, GD&T;, BOM, and technical specifications.
- Verify critical dimensions and quality parameters as per approved drawings.
3. New Development Part Inspection
- Conduct First Piece Approval (FPA) and PPAP documentation for recent development parts.
- Support new model development activities and ensure quality readiness.
- Ensure final assemblies meet fitment, function, and appearance requirements.
4. Supplier Quality Management
- Coordinate with suppliers for quality improvement and process compliance.
- Perform supplier audits and monitor supplier quality performance.
- Follow-up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
5. Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
- Analyse quality issues using 7 QC tools, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and 8D methodology.
- Implement corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
6. Measurement & Testing
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometre, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Surface Plate, Part True Inspection with Instruments, etc.
