Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat common and complex pediatric illnesses and medical conditions.
- Conduct outpatient consultations and manage pediatric inpatients.
- Provide emergency care for pediatric patients when required.
- Monitor growth, development, nutrition, and immunization status of children.
- Perform routine pediatric examinations and developmental assessments.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans based on clinical evaluation.
- Coordinate with other specialists, nursing staff, and healthcare teams for patient care.
- Educate parents/guardians regarding treatment, nutrition, vaccination, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
- Maintain accurate patient records, clinical notes, and medical documentation.
- Participate in hospital rounds, clinical meetings, and quality improvement activities.
- Follow hospital policies, ethical standards, and applicable medical regulations.
- Ensure patient safety, infection-control practices, and confidentiality.
Qualification & Experience
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Pediatrics from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council.
- Relevant experience as a Pediatrician/Consultant Pediatrician preferred.
