Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process/line inspection of components at different stages of production.
- Inspect components as per drawings, specifications, tolerances and quality standards.
- Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, gauges and other measuring instruments.
- Check raw materials, machined components, assembled parts and finished products for quality conformity.
- Identify and segregate rejected, defective and non-conforming components.
- Carry out first-piece inspection and ensure production continues as per approved specifications.
- Perform final inspection of electromagnetic brakes and components before dispatch.
- Verify critical dimensions, workmanship, assembly condition and visual quality.
- Maintain inspection reports, rejection reports, inspection records and other quality documentation.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of inspected components.
- Communicate quality issues and deviations to the Production In-charge and QA team.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring quality issues.
- Ensure measuring instruments are properly maintained and within calibration validity.
- Maintain proper records of rejected/reworked components and follow up on corrective actions.
- Assist the QA team during customer inspections, audits and product testing, when required.
- Ensure only approved and conforming products are moved to the next stage or dispatched.
- Support recent product development by carrying out inspection and dimensional verification of trial/sample components.
