Summary of Position
Key member of the Cloud Security team, this role focuses on implementing and managing security controls for Microsoft Azure environments. The Cloud Security Engineer will ensure that Azure cloud technologies are securely integrated, processes are developed and maintained, and systems are continuously monitored and protected against potential threats. This role demands a robust understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms, with a keen ability to identify and mitigate risks in Azure cloud environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps, application development,



and operations teams to identify and drive solutions for Azure security projects and challenges.
Define, document, and implement robust security controls for Azure cloud services and workloads.
Establish and maintain security monitoring and governance for Azure environments using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, and Microsoft Sentinel.
Design and implement Azure Policy definitions, initiatives, and governance frameworks aligned with Azure Cloud Adoption Framework.
Continuously seek opportunities for automation and process improvements in Azure security operations.
Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on Azure security best practices for internal teams.
Qualifications Expected for Position
6+ years of experience in various information security domains, including threat modeling, secure coding, DevOps, and network security.
5+ years experience and deep understanding of cloud security principles with specific expertise
