Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant at the Global Accounting Operations Center (GAOC) serves as a strategic partner within Qualcomm’s Controllership Team, leading global closing and reporting activities. This role is responsible for driving excellence in General Accounting, Treasury, Receivables, Cash & Banking, Payments, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and more. The Senior Accountant leverages and experienced in AI, automation, analytics, and audit technologies to optimize accounting operations, ensure financial integrity, and support forward-thinking business initiatives. The ideal candidate will champion intelligent process enhancements and adopt data-driven insights to transform finance operations at scale.
Core AI-Driven Finance and Accounting Responsibilities




Lead US GAAP general accounting using advanced AI tools and automation platforms to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all entries and documentation.
Oversee month-end close, including journal preparation, posting, ledger and trial balance review, and variance analysis, utilizing AI for process optimization and meeting business deadlines.
Maintain and analyze the general ledger, applying analytics and AI-driven tools for revenue and cost recognition; perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations per Qualcomm policy.
Act as a subject matter expert for designated accounts, providing insight through automated analysis and reporting.
Prepare and remediate quarterly balance sheet analyses using AI-powered review solutions.
Deliver timely HQ and ad hoc reports, leveraging automation for accuracy and efficiency.
Recommend, design, and implement improvements to ledger systems and workflows, emphasizing automation and AI-assisted standardization.
