Overview
We are looking for a Software Test Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in functional testing, preferably within the NBFC, lending, or financial services domain. The candidate should have hands-on experience in testing web and mobile applications, understanding business requirements, preparing test scenarios and test cases, executing functional test cycles, supporting API testing, validating data using SQL, and coordinating with development, business, and product stakeholders.
The role requires robust exposure to Agile delivery, participation in Scrum ceremonies, defect triage, QA reporting, and dashboard inputs. Experience in lending applications, especially MSME lending, loan origination, onboarding, underwriting, disbursement, repayment, or loan servicing workflows, will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
• Understand business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for NBFC and lending applications.• Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data,
and test execution evidence for web and mobile application testing.• Perform functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, sanity testing, integration testing, and UAT support activities.• Test mobile and web application workflows across customer onboarding, loan application, document upload, eligibility checks, approval, disbursement, repayment, and servicing journeys.• Support testing of lending workflows, preferably in MSME lending, retail lending, or loan origination and loan management systems.• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.• Work closely with business analysts, product owners, developers, QA leads, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and testing scope.• Execute API testing using Postman and Swagger for validating request/response structures, business rules, status codes, error handling, and integration flows.• Use SQL qu
