Engineer – Core Engine Component Engineering
Position: Senior Design Engineer SG 23
Location: Chennai / Bangalore / Aurangabad
Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) currently is looking for a Senior Engineer to support the development of core engine components for Caterpillar Engine applications. The position is accountable for leading the development and validation of core engine components (Cylinder head, blocks, Housings components) and systems in support of New Source Introduction (NSI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) and New Product Introduction (NPI)
projects. The position will have broad responsibility from concept development to release to production in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability.
The individual must have good communication skills to effectively collaborate with NSI lead, key product group teams, and key strategic suppliers to effectively design and development components and system solutions supporting product group’s program deliverables. Clear and consistent communication, the ability to troubleshoot, and solid technical aptitude are essential in this position for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
Job duties:
In this position, you will be mainly leading engineering activities on several NSI (Recent Source Introduction) programs by working with global teams, cross functions teams and our supply base to optimize our manufacturing footprint.
