Responsibilities

Lead category management strategy and execution across assigned product categories
Develop and manage assortment, range, and space plans aligned with business objectives
Analyze category performance using sales, margin, inventory, and customer data
Identify growth opportunities and recommend pricing, promotion, and assortment actions
Collaborate with merchandising, demand planning, supply chain, and marketing teams
Drive category profitability, inventory turns, and customer satisfaction
Support planogram development and space optimization initiatives
Monitor category KPIs and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Support recent product introductions and product lifecycle management
Leverage analytics and tools to support data-driven category decisions
Support UAT, go-live,



and stabilization of category management platforms
Act as a subject-matter expert for category management best practices
Drive continuous improvement in merchandising and category analytics

Requirements

Minimum 3+ years of experience in Category Management or Retail Merchandising
Strong understanding of retail category dynamics, consumer behavior, and buying patterns
Proven experience managing assortment, pricing, and category performance
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Experience working with cross-functional retail teams
Ability to present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Experience working in Retail, FMCG, or Consumer Goods environments
Experience working in Agile or project-based delivery environments

Education Qualification
