Core Role
Primary Focus: Responsible for overall strategy, brand management, and driving core business outcomes.
Scope: Full-spectrum business ownership—covering operating plan development, financial planning, range planning, P&L; management, inventory management, and sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Category Planning
Operating Plans: Formulate Annual Operating Plans (AOP) covering revenue, margin, and discounts, alongside Monthly Operating Plans.
Growth Strategy: Define category- and brand-specific growth roadmaps.
Financial Planning: Lead P&L; planning at both the brand and category levels.
2. Range, Assortment & OTB Planning
Product Mapping: Execute product category-to-brand mapping.
Assortment Strategy: Utilize data analysis and insights to plan option width and depth.
OTB & Season Planning: Lead Open-To-Buy (OTB) seasonal planning at the brand-category level.
Inventory Optimization: Size bets, manage range-level inventory,



and implement forecasting strategies to maximize profitability.
Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive research and market analysis.
3. Sales & Inventory Management
Inventory Control: Plan category inventory flow and track Days on Hand (DOH).
Category Health: Oversee Sell-Through Rates (STRs), inventory ageing, and the portfolio mix (Core vs. Fashion); execute course corrections as needed.
Execution: Lead monthly sales execution in coordination with sales and marketing teams while tracking standard P&L; metrics.
4. Cross-Functional Leadership & Projects
Stakeholder Alignment: Partner with buying, sourcing, brand, sales, and planning teams to deliver on business targets.
Strategic Initiatives: Drive projects across the value chain (supply chain, planning, sales) to boost growth, process efficiency, and profitability.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: 12+ years in Category and Brand Management.
