About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager / AGM – Finance to lead the finance and accounts function for a growing engineering/manufacturing organization. The role will be responsible for the overall finance function, including financial reporting, MIS, budgeting, taxation, audits, statutory compliance, investor coordination, banking and commercial finance activities. The ideal candidate should have robust exposure to a manufacturing/engineering environment and be capable of managing both strategic and day-to-day finance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance & MIS
· Lead the overall finance and accounting function.
· Prepare and review monthly MIS, financial statements and management reports.
· Provide management with timely financial insights for business decision-making.
· Monitor financial performance against budgets and identify key variances.
· Drive financial controls, processes and internal systems.
· Oversee day-to-day finance operations and ensure timely closure of accounts.
2. Budgeting & Financial Planning
· Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
· Prepare budgets in coordination with business and functional teams.
· Monitor actuals against budgets and provide variance analysis.
· Support management in financial planning and cost optimization initiatives.
· Work independently with external/Big 4 auditors on budgeting, financial reviews and related requirements.
3. Audit & Compliance
· Manage statutory, internal and financial audits.
· Coordinate with external auditors, including Big 4 firms where applicable.
· Handle investor-related audits, reviews and information requirements.
· Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.
· Maintain robust financial controls and compliance processes.
4. Taxation
· Oversee direct and indirect taxation matters.
· Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, income tax and other applicable regulations.
