Review client documents including W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, K-1s, brokerage statements, and financial records
Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040) with applicable schedules
Assist in preparation of business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065)
Enter and manage financial data in tax software
Reconcile income sources such as wages, interest, dividends, and capital gains
Handle applicable foreign reporting (Forms 2555, 8938, FBAR)
Identify missing or inconsistent information and raise client queries
Resolve software diagnostics and validation errors
Maintain organized, indexed, and well-documented workpapers aligned with compliance standards
Support review and finalize returns for e-filing
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent)
2–3 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation
Strong knowledge of U.S. individual and business taxation
Experience with tax software (Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax, ProConnect)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and research aptitude
High attention to detail with solid concentration and focus
Preferred Skills
Experience working with U.S. CPA firms
Knowledge of foreign reporting and multi-state taxation
Familiarity with U.S. tax compliance and documentation standards
