Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain our internal billing workflow platform's VB.NET
WinForms desktop application – a critical service in our monthly billing
workflow system processing all our monthly client billings before getting
invoiced. This is the primary day-to-day responsibility.
* Work directly with SQL Server: write and optimize T-SQL, stored procedures,
and SQL Server Agent jobs
* Lead the development of new features, system enhancements, and performance
optimization initiatives as part of the platform's ongoing in-place
modernization effort
* Contribute to planning and execution of the platform's future migration to a




modern web-based architecture, helping evaluate target architecture (e.g.,
ASP.NET Core/Blazor) and migration strategy alongside BI leadership.
* Write and maintain automated tests; grow test coverage from its current thin
baseline.
* Conduct code reviews, mentor other developers, and drive adherence to the
team's established coding standards, style guide, and code-audit protocol
* Collaborate with BI, Analyst, Processing, and Submission team stakeholders to
translate billing workflow requirements into robust technical solutions
* Contribute to technical design decisions for both the current system and its
future state
* Leverage Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools to improve
productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

* Fluent English communication skills (C1 level or equivalent).
* 7+ years of hands-on software development experience
* Robust hands-on experience with VB.NET & .NET Framework ,
