Experience

We are looking for an empathetic and skilled Oncology Counselor to support patients and their families throughout their cancer journey by providing emotional, psychological, and treatment-related guidance while coordinating care with the medical team.

Provide emotional support and help patients cope with the psychological impact of cancer.

Explain treatment plans, procedures, expected outcomes, and possible side effects in simple, understandable language.

Coordinate appointments for consultations, chemotherapy, investigations, and follow-up visits.

Work closely with Medical Oncologists, Nursing staff, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.

Respond to patient queries via phone, email, or in-person interactions.

Ensure a positive patient experience by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.

Update patient information in the Hospital Information System (HIS) or CRM.





Coordinate with the billing and insurance teams whenever required.

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Life Sciences, Nursing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

Master's degree in Psychology, Medical Social Work, Counseling, or Hospital Administration is preferred.

Experience

~1–5 years of experience in patient counseling, healthcare counseling, oncology counseling, or hospital coordination.

~ Experience in an oncology hospital or cancer centre will be an added advantage.

Basic knowledge of cancer treatments, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Hospital Information Systems (HIS/EMR/CRM).
